In January 2018, Mr. Bill and kLL sMTH were booked by Max Kipperman to play the newly opened Black Box club in Denver, Colorado. The resulting impromptu B2B set featuring Kristoffer Edland scratching over Bill Day’s hectic glitch hop was the genesis of the kLL Bill project. Four years, several shows, festival headlining sets, and thousands of micro-edits later, the debut kLL Bill EP arrives. The eponymous EP finally plants a flag for the vaunted duo of production masters. Covering drum & bass, glitch hop, halftime, dubstep and even bass house, this wild blend of sound and science is a truly collaborative endeavor for two electronic artists whose music has always been a step ahead of the curve, if not a few lengths. Long studio sessions, hundreds of revisions, and painstaking attention to detail that fans have come to expect from these audio gurus has birthed a staggering four track EP that ushers in the future of an electronic music scene that’s brash, bold, and a little bit blasphemous.

kLL sMTH is an artist who has taken his love of hip-hop and expanded it into a vast array of genres, from glitch-hop and drum and bass to dubstep and bass music. His DJing roots in turntablism have influenced his production style, with scratching and mixing vinyl being some of the first things he learned. He takes inspiration from experimentation, immersing himself in music, nature, and anything life throws his way.

Mr. Bill is an electronic music producer, and DJ from Sydney, Australia (currently residing in the USA) best known for his willingness to share tips in studio techniques & massive library of technical know-how with other aspiring producers. With a huge catalog of released original music (including many collaborations and remixes), Mr. Bill has worked with established artists such as deadmau5, Ganja White Night, Subtronics, Dirt Monkey, Virtual Riot, Infected Mushroom, and more. Having released music on a wide array of well-known labels such as mau5trap, Monstercat, Subcarbon, Deadbeats, Cyclops, & WAKAAN has led to Bill touring the globe extensively & playing many major music festivals & world-renowned venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and Hampton Coliseum. Brian Taylor (director of Crank: High Voltage – starring Jason Stathom, and SyFy TV hit “Happy!”) reached out to Bill to score the motion picture, horror-comedy Mom & Dad, featuring Nicolas Cage & Selma Blair. Bill has also been commissioned to compose, and create sound effects for multiple music libraries, applications, and to-be-released games. Being heavily active in the music production community has led Bill to create his own record label, Billegal Beats, which primarily releases left-field downtempo, and glitch music, and Billegal Sounds – a sample pack company. As well as has developed a VST plug-in “SLAP” in collaboration with Yum Audio. Mr. Bill runs the educational website mrbillstunes.com which houses 1,000+ hours of educational video content teaching the music production software Ableton Live, and he hosts “The Mr. Bill Podcast” which has had speaking guests such as, Duncan Trussell, deadmau5, Steve Duda, Kill The Noise, Feed Me, Peekaboo, edIT, Mick Gordon, Herobust, Richard Devine, Beardyman, The Flashbulb, Haywyre, Daedelus, Subtronics, Virtual Riot, Misha Mansoor, Jordan Rudess, and YouTube sensations Adamy Neely, and Andrew Huang.

Schmoop is a part of the Electronic/Bass music landscape, and has carved out a niche with a signature fusion of gritty bass elements, glitchy textures, and infectious boom-bap beats. The roots of Schmoop’s musical journey can be traced back to a fascination with the pixelated soundscapes of early video games, an integral piece of his sonic atmosphere. This snowballed into a love for a variety of genres such as downtempo, glitch hop, jungle, & drum and bass.
